WHAT IS A “POST-GRADUATE” YEAR at RAA?

A postgraduate (PG) year refers to the academic gap year spent at a private or independent school, post-high school graduation. This is in order to strengthen candidacy for admission for success in college. The RAA program will use a 16-week semester that runs from August until November as its Post Grad year. During this time student athletes will participate in sports and prepare for college admissions.** JUCO is another option and if you need 2 years to develop versus 5 months then maybe this is not the program for you. Also remember when at JUCO, you are placed in a transfer portal**


HOW DO STUDENTS BENEFIT FROM A POST-GRADUATE YEAR at RAA?

RAA is a preparatory sports academy designed to extend college readiness, academic improvement, athletic opportunities and to foster greater social, emotional, and mental development. Athletes who enroll at RAA will enjoy a 16-week schedule filled with athletic skilled development both on and off the field. Academic advising will be provided, with weekly reviews.


WHAT HAPPENS TO MY COLLEGE ELIGIBILITY WHEN I ATTEND RAA

WHAT ARE THE CHANCES MY STUDENT-ATHLETE EARNS A SCHOLARSHIP TO A 4 YEAR SCHOOL after attending RAA?

While there is no guarantee of an offer if you enroll in a prep school, the national statistics show that 80% of all student-athletes receive some form of academic grant or need-based scholarship. Institutional gift aid totals value $17,000 on average.

RAA has a staff of former college football coaches and we will use our network to help place our players with the best college fit both athletically and academically at all levels of college competition. Any financial aid, athletic aid and academic aid can assist your athlete to obtain an offer from a 4-year institution.

HOW WILL MY STUDENT-ATHLETE GET HIS FILM SEEN AND GET RECRUITED?

RAA will put together game film breakdowns, highlight tapes and film study as a part of its sports curriculum. Hudl (www.hudl.com) will be used to market and capture college recruiting coordinators attention. RAA will assist student-athletes with film resumes throughout the program. Student athletes will have total access to their Hudl accounts for highlights design weekly. Our student athletes will also be exposed to our local and national collegiate partners.
